Where we come from

Big Bird started with a conversation. Dan Duncan, golf sicko, creative director and action sports filmmaker, sat down with Aaron Chewning, founder of St. André Golf. Both were done with a golf playbook that stopped at magazine ads and logo placement.

So we built the studio we wanted to hire, and brought in the best minds in brand building and golf strategy to run it with us: brand strategy, content, production, PR and web, from people who live the game.

You don’t have time to explain why Bryson went from villain to hero. We already know. We know golf, we know culture, and we know how to make your brand matter in both.

Case Studies

Transforming an OEM

Srixon, Cleveland Golf and XXIO had tour-proven equipment and some of the best players in golf, and by Dunlop’s own account they were golf’s best-kept secret. Over two years we’ve worked to make all three brands golfers want to belong to, under one invitation: Join Our Team.

Quiet Confidence

Our first campaigns together, in 2025. Srixon and Cleveland pros kept winning without much attention, so we built both brands’ campaigns around players who already know how good they are.

  • Quiet Confidence for Cleveland: single-take films that put you inside a player’s head, with no cuts and only their inner voice before the shot.
  • Pure Confidence for Srixon: the preparation and focus it takes to compete at the top of the game.
  • Social-first extensions gave each pro a story of their own, linked into one campaign narrative.

Bringing a Legacy Brand Back to Its Roots

Roger Cleveland helped build one of golf’s great short-game names, and many younger golfers had never heard of him. We helped bring him home to Cleveland Golf and made his return a year-long story.

  • Championed the recommendation to bring Roger back to the brand.
  • Welcome Home, Roger: the campaign that announced his return.
  • A year of product and storytelling planned to end with the return of the 588 wedge.

Team & Belonging: ZXiR

Srixon had a strong Tour Pro roster and no sense of team. For the ZXiR irons launch, we opened Team Srixon to every golfer.

  • Nick Bonilla of Bev Boys plays Srixon’s most enthusiastic, least qualified team recruiter.
  • Team ZXiR Tryouts: a mockumentary where everyday golfers and creators audition for the roster, told through tryout films and creator collaborations.
  • At the 2026 tour shoot, Nick kept recruiting, interrupting tour pros to see if they’d make his team.

A Tour Shoot for the Modern Golf Brand

We rebuilt Srixon’s 2026 tour shoot so one production would feed a full year of content, with tour pros and creators on camera together as one team.

  • It’s Good When It’s Z-STAR: a global hero film and six athlete stories, released through the season when each player was in the conversation.
  • Six social series: 588 Short Game with Roger Cleveland and Jake Hutt, The Warm Up and Ball Testing with BustaJack, BustaJack vs. the Pros, Interrupting Tour with Nick Bonilla, and Smylie’s Cart Cam.
  • A photography station on set built a library of athlete and product imagery.
  • More than 100 social assets from one production, with Keegan Bradley, Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry and the rest of the Srixon and Cleveland staff.

Product Scarcity: 588

A move borrowed from streetwear for Cleveland: a limited re-release of the 588 wedge, with only 588 made.

  • Followed Roger Cleveland’s homecoming and set up a 588 grind joining the full product line.
  • Collaborated with Cleveland on the design of the club.
  • Launched through collaborations, creator partnerships, product reviews, PR and earned media, so the golf community told the story.

Transforming a Golf Course: Wynn

Wynn Golf Club was an amenity for hotel guests. With the Cliff House opening and a $1,000 green fee, it needed to be a destination, so in one season Summit House and Big Bird made it a home for YouTube golf. By year end we project 15–20 million people will have watched 18 holes at Wynn.

Launching YGT with Wynn

With Grant Horvat and the Bryan Bros, Summit House launched the YGT: 16 of digital golf’s top players across four events, ending in a stroke-play championship at Wynn with a $1M purse.

  • A four-step launch: the captains landing on the Wynn jet, a #FreeWesley sign outside Wynn (3.1M views, and it drew in LeBron James), a conspiracy board fans decoded (617K views), then a Golf Digest exclusive.
  • The announcement reached 900K accounts on Instagram, was sent to a friend 28,000 times and drew 1.2M views on X. Press followed: 28 articles reaching 197M unique monthly visitors.
  • Through August, six hero YouTube videos filmed at Wynn drew 16.8M views.
  • Other creators came without a sponsorship fee: Min Woo Lee, the Divot Dudes, Josh Mayer, St. André Golf and Bryson DeChambeau.
  • November 5–8: the YGT returns for the Wynn Cup, its $1M season championship, with 30 of the biggest creators in golf.

Wynn Rebrand + Digital Strategy Launch

A full rebrand of Wynn Golf Club for the golfer watching on YouTube, launched in the fall alongside the Cliff House, when attention on the course was at its peak.

  • Built on entertainment, which Las Vegas owns outright, in place of heritage golf language.
  • Hundreds of short-form videos with LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Usher and a growing roster of creators on the course.
  • Wynn GC, an owned channel run as a media platform, home to St. André Golf, a scripted comedy series set inside the club. 10,000 followers in four months, and 4.5M Instagram views across 12 posts.

A Restaurant Launch

Cliff House reimagines the 19th hole at Wynn, on the historic grounds of the Desert Inn. We set out to make it feel discovered rather than announced.

  • An identity that sits inside the Wynn Golf Club brand, designed with Wild Places.
  • A cinematic, social-first launch covering the architecture, the food and cocktails, and the course.
  • Draws on old Las Vegas and the ritual of the game in place of standard food and beverage advertising.

World Building for a Disruptor

Fans need characters to root for and stories to come back to. For Takomo and Play Golf Myrtle Beach we built recurring characters and running jokes, and for Takomo, an origin story that runs through its product design, website and fan club.

Takomo Court

An episodic courtroom comedy where golfers stand trial for overspending on equipment. Takomo sells premium clubs without the premium markup, so the competition’s pricing became the punchline.

  • Built on daytime courtroom TV, with recurring characters and a new case each episode.
  • With Oust: an organic series and three :30 spots, Tako-Who, The Iron Clinger and The Over Payer.

Mr. T Fairway

A golf industry insider on a mission to stop golfers spending $1,600 on irons. Mr. T fronts The Fair Way Is Calling, Takomo’s comedy series about bad equipment decisions.

  • From his cubicle at Golf Industry Inc., he runs the Hacker’s Hotline, built for the audience to call in.
  • The format follows him anywhere, including a trip to Las Vegas where the calls keep coming.
  • Three episodes with cutdowns, jump cuts and social ads.

Myrt Reynolds: Myrtle Beach’s Living Legend

Myrtle Beach had great courses and no personality tying them together. Myrt Reynolds, local celebrity and self-appointed golf concierge, became that personality, and the guy you call to plan your golf trip.

  • A mythology of tall tales: he claims to have been there for every iconic moment in golf, including the first time anyone talked to a golf ball.
  • Recurring characters, a fishing charter called Clickbait One and his band, Myrt & the Sea Turtles.
  • For Golf Tourism Solutions: The Legend of Myrt, Legendary Buddy Trip and Rain Re-Plan, with bumpers, a landing page and monthly social.

Takomo: Just Magic

Many golfers assumed Takomo was Japanese. It was born in Finland, so we gave it an animated origin story drawn from Nordic landscapes and folklore: Just Magic.

  • A visual identity and shared language that carry into product design and the website.
  • An inner circle for Takomo’s most committed fans.

How to Help a Pro Sports League Play in YouTube Golf

The Capital One MLB Open brought baseball’s biggest personalities to Shadow Creek. We turned one event into three stories, each told by a different creator on a different channel, all building to one championship.

The Competitors

The Bryan Bros take on MLB players in a long-form YouTube series that builds to the Championship Shootout.

  • YouTube series
  • Creator partnership
